Growing up on the Kapiti Coast I got up to all sorts, as you do, but I’m also very proud of my achievements on this journey called life; Head Boy at Kapiti College, completing a law degree at Victoria University and then working for a leading law firm in Wellington in the areas of corporate/commercial law.  As with many Kiwis, the lure of overseas travel and adventure was strong, and I ended up settling in the UK where I spent the next decade honing my legal skills and creating new adventures and ways to avoid killing myself! 

I’ve travelled to nearly 100 countries and I’ve worked on some very unusual and highly challenging projects, which included being held hostage by militant French workers. I am a working example of a person who has developed life skills to cope with stress!

After returning to NZ in 2003, I joined the Fonterra legal team where I’ve worked ever since.  My passion for the law and love of helping people navigate complex legal and business issues has seen me grow into a leading light in solving problems, clearing obstacles and mediating solutions.  As you can tell, I thrive on a challenge.

Karate is another strong passion of mine, having trained for over 40 years all over the globe, competing in numerous international competitions in five countries.  I have long studied the philosophies of the martial arts, and the development of the mind, body and spirit.

Tactical Pursuits is hosted on the most amazing slice of paradise you could wish for. 

This piece of earth now known as Lindemann Heights Arboretum Retreat was initially selected and then developed over a decade as it fully enabled me to pursue my lifelong ambition – to become a teacher of many things.  I fully embrace the unexpected, the curly curve balls and change without missing a beat. 

I bring all that I am to anyone who wants to pay to come and have a go at my place.  I will share ideas with you on managing yourself, managing your life, your stresses, your responsibilities and your joy; and when you’re planning a party, we’re certainly up for that too!
